IVDU Tennessee!

IVDU is not your typical school. Our students focus on much more than just academic growth. The students of IVDU Upper Schools participate in a Jewishly inspiring environment where they engage in career training and a yearly internship, life skills instruction, and a social/emotional skills course, in addition to learning more standardized studies like English, science, social studies, math, and Judaic studies. On an average day, an IVDU student may use critical thinking skills to conduct an experiment in STEM, write an essay sharing an opinion with evidence to back up all points, collaboratively play a game of basketball at gym, and creatively demonstrate a specific emotional regulation skill to the class. Our students also learn what it means to be active and contributing members of the Jewish community through learning, discussion, reflection, and practice.

Our IVDU students inspire us — with their motivation, with their dedication, with their sheer will to succeed. So we are asking you to support our students by letting them know that you’re impressed by them too, that you support their efforts, that you see their tenacity in achieving their goals. We ask you to support our fundraising efforts, and to let these teens know by including a comment on the donation page that you’re proud of them and that you believe they can do it. A donation of any amount, along with a supportive and encouraging message, will really emphasize your commitment and support to our teens.
